Congratulations to the Journalism Class on being named a National Yearbook Program of Excellence! The Jostens award recognizes engaging yearbooks that reflect a broad representation of the student body while helping students develop 21st century skills such as communication, collaboration, and information and communication technologies literacy.

“Jostens is proud to recognize those individuals who have created an exceptional yearbook for their school and community,” said Tammy Whitaker, Jostens VP and COO Yearbook Division.

In addition to the yearbook, the Journalism Class produces content for their Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and S’more accounts, as well as updating portions of the school website. Students take pictures with both digital cameras and drones, livestream school events, make the athletic programs, and run the business portion of the class with advertising and yearbook sales.

Journalism Class members include Jaedyn Bierman, Andrew Bishop, Aaron Blachford, Dustin Dirksen, Quintin Fischbach, Rian Gehring, Payton Grandpre, Brooklinn Halvorson, Jack Hansen, Maren Hansen, Jacob Leinen, Chase Neiber, Nikki Nickeson, Dusty Osterkamp, Ben Palmer, Ana Ratigan, Gage Ratigan, Dawson Ward, Cole Wilkie, and Lincoln Woodring.
