🎶 A HUGE ACCOMPLISHMENT FOR NORTHWESTERN AREA SCHOOLS! 🎶

Saturday evening was a special night of recognition for Northwestern Area School District as we proudly received the HS Outstanding Level Student Participation Award!

This recognition is a testament to the incredible value our school places on music education and the opportunities we provide our students. An amazing 88% of Northwestern's student body participates in music classes! That means nearly 9 out of every 10 students are involved in making music, developing their talents, building confidence, and experiencing the lifelong benefits of music education.

This achievement doesn't happen by accident. It takes dedicated music educators, supportive administrators and families, and, most importantly, students who are willing to show up, participate, and make music together!

We are incredibly proud of our students, our music department, and our entire Northwestern school community. What an accomplishment worth celebrating!

Congratulations to the other schools recognized for their outstanding commitment to music education!  Other schools that received this award were Eureka, Huron, Sioux Falls Lutheran, Waubay, Beresford, Hoven, Edgemont, Tea Area, Montrose, Colman-Egan, Warner, Kadoka Area, Leola, White Lake, Frederick Area, Lake Preston, Great Plains Lutheran, Arlington and Mitchell Christian.

Music makes a difference, and Northwestern is making some beautiful music!
