Our State FBLA Officers along with other CTSO leadership groups attended the CTSO Capitol City Experience in Pierre on Feb. 6-7. The officer teams got to take photos with Gov. Noem and Lt. Gov. Rhoden and then attended the Chamber Sessions in both the House and the Senate. That afternoon there was a dinner held at the Visitors Center catered by the Capitol. The Department of Education, Health, and Social Services came to meet with the officers and explain to them their titles and how they got them. On Wednesday the officers got to attend the committee meetings of their choosing, and got to see the process of making new bills.

"My favorite part of the Capitol City CTSO experience was sitting in on the committee meetings. Everyone that goes to the meetings has a purpose of being there, and I enjoyed seeing how the system worked. This led me to decided that I would like to be a Page next year and learn more about the decisions being made by our state government. I love going CTSO events because I like that we are all there for the same reason, to be leaders and learn more about the state we lead in," stated State Reporter Murphy Lewis.
