Northwestern Elementary Student Council Officers Elected

Elementary students came to together on Thursday, Sept. 14 to hear the speeches of
the elementary student council candidates.


Many of the candidates ran unopposed. Fifth-graders Embree Twete won secretary,
Macy Sparling won treasurer, and Brailee Hahler won historian.


For vice president, Makadyn Brist and Ava Paulson ran against each other with Brist
becoming vice president.


Presidential candidates included Abel Bawek, Hayden Dutenhoffer, and Avery
VanHatten with Bawek winning the presidency.


Hahler ran for historian because she likes to take pictures and write things down. For
treasurer, Sparling won, saying she can keep the money organized and straight, and
that she’s trustworthy, kind, honest, and respectful.


During her speech, Twete, who won secretary, mentioned how she is the quietest child
in her class, she can carefully take notes, and she is organized. 

Running for vice president, Brist made the promise of being very respectful to everyone and trying her best to decide the best things for student body, and doing fun things over the holidays and other days.

Winning as president, Bawek mentioned in his speech about how he can make school a
better place with things like monthly movies, dress up days, and extra recess.
