Northwestern placed second in exhibit and interview at the National BEST Robotics competition in Denver, Colo., Dec. 7-8.

"I was very proud of the way the students stood up to this years’ challenge in all areas of the
competition," adviser Mrs. Denise Clemens said. "I was proud of the way they represented Northwestern at nationals.”

Senior Hailey Boekelheide won the Kendrick Castillo award for demonstrating community outreach, selflessness, and respect.

“Most definitely this season was a success because this was the first year that we have placed at nationals. We had a lot of younger kids join robotics. And we all improved so much throughout this season,” Boekelheide said.
